Toms River Intermediate South noticed during a Professional Day workshop, hosted by Frank Picone, that self-care was often neglected among staff members. In order to combat this issue, the Interact Club and Guidance Office of Toms River Intermediate South banded together to send out self-care tips via emails as well as create appreciation goodie bags for each teacher. This initiative to promote staff wellness, funded by the SchoolHealthNJ grant, allows for staff members to feel valued and appreciated, in turn, helping them stay at ease and participate in much-needed self-care tactics.
